ATLANTIC COUNTY JOURNAL A 6 Lorraine M. Crispaldi, 69, of Egg Harbor born on August 5, 1945, to the late Frank and Rose (Gattignola) Crispaldi, step-daughter of Joseph Loddo the beloved sister of Rose Cecola (Joe), and brother Joseph Loddo Jr. (Cheryl), niece of Mary Coppola, passed away on December 8, 2014. She entered the Order of the Franciscan Nuns in 1963 (Sister Steven Mary) and taught at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and Annunciation Parochial Schools in Philadelphia for 10 years.

In 1981, Lorraine began an illustrious casino career at Caesars Hotel Casino. Lorraine taught all the casino games and rose to the rank of pit manager, retiring in 2008. Lorraine will be deeply missed by her faithful care-giver, companion, and kidney donor, Georgina Rogan, and her beloved and devoted life-long friend, Christine F. Damico. Lorraine loved music and was cherished by all who knew her.

Her generous spirit and affectionate manner will be sorely missed by countless nieces, nephews and friends. today point me to A celebration of life was held on December 15 at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish, eld, where a Mass of Christian burial was celebrated. LORRAINE M. CRISPALDI EGG HARBOR TWP. Michael Ryan Etzel, 31, of Weymouth Township passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2014. Michael was a loving son, grandson, brother, father and uncle. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He will be missed deeply by his family and friends. Michael was a fun, energetic, loving person who would always lend a hand if you were in need. He adored his sons, nieces and nephews, as he was a big kid at heart. His grandfather, Francisco, was one of his best friends. His ultimate passions were photography, acting and spending time with family and friends.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Torres; and his aunt, Corrine Morse. He is survived by his mother, Kelly Hale (Steve); his father, Michael Etzel (Lydia); maternal grandfather Francisco Torres; paternal grandmother Dorothy Petrocelly; his siblings: Bo (Chris), Steven Kati, Jenny and David; his sons, Justin and Garner; and a host of extended siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Charles Mark Faust, 46, of Egg Harbor Township left the earthly playing eld to become an angel in the out- of heaven on Thursday, December 4. He fought into the 9th inning against Lung Cancer, and peacefully left his dugout surrounded by his wife and sons. Chuck leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 25 years, Trish (Steigerwald); and his cherished sons, Mark and Josh. He took such pride in his games, tournaments and educational achievements. The young men that they have become is the testament to unwav- ering support, lessons and love.

Anyone who ever met Chuck became his friend. He also leaves his mother, Ginny Faust and her companion, John Edwards; his sister, Jean Marshall (Peter); his nephew, Bobby Weber; his mother-in-law, Patricia Steigerwald; and his best friend and grandfather, Mark Price. Chuck was greeted in heaven by his father, Charles Warren Faust his maternal grandmother, Marion Willetts Price; and his paternal grandparents, Charles and Margaret Faust. He was one of the hardest working men you would ever meet. Chuck was a long term employee of Viking Yacht Co.

When Chuck working, he could be found woodworking, spending time on his house, or watching his beloved Phillies and Jets. Services were held on December 11 at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, eld. Josephine L. Thompson, 90, of eld passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014. She was born and raised in Atlantic City. During her 90 years she worked at various places including Kents Restaurant, Casels Supermarket, Stockton College and Seashore Garden. She was blessed to be able to see many weddings, births, christenings and graduations.

Nannie never forgot a birthday or Christmas and the grandchildren could always depend on a card with a little spending money. Her true love, aside from Bingo of course, was her family. She will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Her memory will live on in all our hearts. Josephine loved her family and will be deep- ly missed by all.

She is survived by her daughter, Maria Callan and her husband Charles, sons, Albert Thompson and his wife, Cathy and Michael Thompson and his wife, Doris; grandchildren, Tracy, Karen, Andrea, Albert, Chrissy, Elizabeth and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Molly, Jake, Vinny, Tori, Chris, Connor, Andrew and Abbey; and her niece Joanne. Services were held on December 8 at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, eld. Burial was in Atlantic City Cemetery. THOMPSON AGE: 90 NORTHFIELD Joseph R. Mergliano, 51, of Egg Harbor Township passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on December 8, 2014. Born in South Philadelphia, Joe worked for in Resorts Hotel and Casino for 18 years. He loved dancing with his wife, watching the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers, and enjoyed and spending time with his friends and family. He was predeceased by his mother, Angelina Iammurri Mergliano.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Patricia (Morrissey) Mergliano; his father, Rosario Mergliano; his sisters, Angela Minore, Maria Gagliardi, Joanne Andreola, Jody Merlino and Frances Brady; his children, Anthony and Samantha Mergliano; his stepdaughter, Colleen Morrissey; his grandchildren, Gianna and Anthony Mergliano Jr. and Juliana Morales; and many nieces and nephews. A viewing was held on December 13 at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, eld. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Linwood. JOSEPH R. MERGLIANO AGE: 51 EGG HARBOR TWP. Harry Horace North, 86, passed away December 3, 2014 at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He was a lifetime resident of Absecon. Harry was a retired Union tter with Local 322.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and an active member of the American Legion, Charles A. Hammell Post 28. He was also a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Absecon.

Harry is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Pegge, two daughters, Carole (John Fisher) and Pegge-Lynn (Robert Ford), two grandchildren, Robert Ford (Emily) and Abby Lynn (Erik Glazner) and two great-grandchildren, Oliver and Vivian Ford. He is also survived by his brother Johnny, sister Irene and his loving niece Nancy Carhart and great-niece Maria Garcia. Harry was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Josephine North, brother Ernie and sisters, Dorothy and Marge and his best friend, Vision fondly, called his Services were private. Taylor, 58, of Mays Landing passed away unexpectedly on December 7, 2014. Barbara was born and raised in Bucks County, and moved to Atlantic County 30 years ago. She worked for the ACCVA in convention services until her retirement in 2004. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Harold Gilfert and Ann Hallman, and her son, Matt Zaydel. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten by her wife, Sheryl Zaydel.

Barbara also leaves to cherish her memory, her two sons, Travis and Michael, her sister Gretchen Halfpenny (Jim), her stepfather Ron Hallman, her grandchildren, Annaleise, Chase and Morgan and numerous other relatives and friends. TAYLOR AGE: 58 MAYSLANDING Salvatore Biaggio Ferrario, 89, of Somers Point passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014.

Born in Dunmore, Pa. He lived most of his life in Atlantic City. Sal worked as a meat cutter for Acme for 43 years. He was an auxiliary police cer for Atlantic City Police Department for 8 years. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, as well as a member of the Men of Malvern retreat for more than 50 years.

He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Rose; brother, Raymond Ferrario and nephew, Raymond Ferrario Jr. Salvatore is survived by his daughter, Anita Truman (Allen); grandchildren, Roseann Whaley (RJ), Edward Nelling (Susie), and Andrew Truman (Tricia); 4 great-grandchildren; and a host many other family and friends. A viewing was held December 13 at Dante Hall, Atlantic City. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. RC Church, Atlantic City.

Arrangements entrusted to and condolences for the family may be left at Adams- Perfect.com. SALVATORE FERRARIO AGE: 89 SOMERSPOINT Kenneth R. Moore 90, of Galloway Township passed away at home on Dec. 3, 2014. He was a U.S.

Postal Carrier in Atlantic City for more than 30 years and was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Ken honorably served as a Tanker in Germany during World War II in the 717th Tank Battalion, participating in the Ruhr Pocket. He was a member of the local VFW and American Legion. He loved to talk about American history and share his very strong opinions about politics with friends, family and local radio shows. Ken fondly talked about his days of delivering mail in Atlantic City and could still remember the addresses of many of the people on his route in his years.

He also enjoyed spending time with family and gathering the group to celebrate birthdays. Ken is survived by his wife of 68 years, Kathleen (Bennett), son Kenneth Jr. and Gerri of Galloway, daughter Kathleen Stroup (Charles, deceased) of Absecon. Grandchildren Kenneth Moore III and Rachael of North Carolina, Kristi (Moore) Aiken and Earle of Galloway, Lynn (Stroup) Latham and Don of Eg Harbor Township and Lori Stroup of Absecon. Ken is also survived by eight great- grandchildren, Ashley, Casey, Bradley, Dylan, Darcy, Natalie, Julia and Mackenzie.

He was predeceased by granddaughter Michelle D. Moore in 1986. The family would like to thank Holy Redeemer for their excellent care. Services were held on Dec. 9 at Wimberg Funeral Home, Galloway.

Joseph M. Peterson III, 37, of West Atlantic City passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2014. Beloved son and brother, Joey graduated from Holy Spirit, class of In recent years, he resided in New Gretna with his girlfriend, Kayci and her daughter, Fiona. Joey had a passion for music. He was a self- taught guitarist who played in numerous bands.

He was known for his quick wit, and most of all, his kind and generous heart. Joey had many lifelong friends, and will be truly missed by all who knew him, especially his loving family. Knowing Joey, he would want everyone to remember the good times and smile. Joey is survived by his parents, Joseph and Mary Lou (Oshman) Peterson; his sisters: Sally Rosetti (Joe), Mary Lu Weikel (Phil), Chrissy Peterson and Stacey Peterson; his beloved grandmother, Mary Oshman; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
